If you’re curious about authentic cuisines but hesitant to commit to a full dish, the Spain Pavilion’s restaurant offers a tasting course of “19 PINCHOS & TAPAS ESPECIAL”—each representing one of the 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities of Spain. Every item is carefully crafted with premium ingredients, from thick-cut anchovies to intensely flavorful cheeses. Not a single one of the 19 dishes disappoints—they’re all superb.”

Even those unfamiliar with Spanish flavors will be drawn in, likely tempted to return. It’s the kind of dining that sparks conversation: “I like this one!” “This one’s my favorite!”

The exhibition area is equally engaging, with photogenic spots scattered throughout—such as a space bathed in vibrant orange hues reminiscent of a sunset in a resort paradise. This pavilion offers a full-body experience where visitors can journey through Spain via its cuisine while having their senses delighted visually as well.

Architecture enthusiasts will appreciate the Portugal Pavilion, designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The facade, wrapped in flowing ropes, evokes ocean waves and sets the stage for a theme centered around the sea.

Inside, a tranquil, immersive display leads guests through a narrative on humanity’s relationship with the ocean. The atmosphere—imbued with contemplative lighting and a strong environmental message from the ocean—leaves a lasting emotional impact.

You can not miss the desserts when you come to Portugal. The popular egg tarts often sell out, but the star is “Pão de Ló,” a semi-liquid sponge cake with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. With a variety of takeout options, this pavilion is ideal for those navigating the Expo on a tight schedule.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a stunning paper-cutting mural featuring quintessential Swiss imagery—where familiar characters like Heidi are hidden within the design. It’s an artwork to admire or a game to play.

Nearby, a giant rainbow-colored bubble installation captures the imagination. Speak your wish aloud, and it floats into the air as a bubble—delighting children and adults alike.

The pavilion also explores cutting-edge themes like the intersection of gastronomy and robotics, keeping older guests engaged and entertained. Truly, it’s a place where all generations can share smiles.

Exhibition space inspired by the ocean floor

Looking to escape the crowd and soak in a tranquil evening under the Expo nightscape? The Monaco Pavilion offers a sophisticated setting with a wine bar and a seating area inspired by roses—an ideal spot for refined relaxation.

On the ground floor, a garden houses a 500-year-old olive tree and Mediterranean plants, echoing themes of harmony with nature.

One standout feature is the immersive underwater-inspired room. A 20-meter-high wall showcases 180 marine species, their silhouettes shifting with the lighting. The space is even infused with a custom “ocean scent,” creating a surreal, multi-sensory experience. It’s an oasis of peace—for the body, mind, and soul.
