The Mikado - In Concert at Artscape

Cape Town G&S and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra present “The Mikado-in Concert” - a sparkling 140th anniversary tribute to Gilbert and Sullivan’s most iconic comic opera. Featuring a stellar local cast, glorious music and witty narration, this concert offers an evening of humour, harmony and theatrical delight at the Artscape Opera House, 25 – 27 July 2025. Matinee performance on Sunday 27th at 15h00.

This celebratory staging features The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, a vibrant chorus, top soloists and witty narration in place of dialogue, bringing the story to life in a fresh and engaging way. With favourites like ‘A Wand’ring Minstral I’, ’Three Little Maids’, and ‘I’ve got a Little List’, this stylish concert will delight audiences old and new!
